Coleraine BID Unveils New Identity as Coleraine Connect
May 22, 2026
Coleraine’s Business Improvement District in Northern Ireland has announced a major rebrand, with the organisation now set to operate under the name Coleraine Connect.
The move comes following the appointment of a new Board and a wider review of how the organisation communicates with businesses, stakeholders and the public.
The BID said the new identity is intended to reflect a more modern and accessible approach, while continuing its work to support the town centre economy.
Although the organisation will continue to operate under the Business Improvement District model, representatives believe the new branding better explains its role within the town.
A spokesperson for Coleraine Connect said the rebrand represents “a fresh direction” for the organisation.
“This is about more than simply changing a logo or a name,” the spokesperson said.
“It reflects a renewed commitment to working closely with businesses, improving communication and ensuring the organisation is visible, approachable and accountable.”
The spokesperson added that feedback from stakeholders played a role in shaping the decision.
“We recognise that the term ‘BID’ is not always understood by the wider public or even some businesses. The name ‘Coleraine Connect’ better captures the purpose of what we do, bringing together businesses, events, people and opportunities across the town.”
The organisation said it will continue focusing on promoting local businesses, increasing footfall through events and campaigns, and supporting stronger collaboration across the town centre.
As part of the rebrand, a new website is also being developed, along with updated marketing materials and digital platforms.
The website is expected to provide information on local businesses, upcoming events, hospitality offerings and town centre services.
Representatives say the new identity is also aimed at creating a stronger connection between the BID and the wider community, including residents, visitors and investors.
“Coleraine has a strong business community and a town centre with real potential,” the spokesperson added.
“We want Coleraine Connect to reflect a positive, forward-thinking and inclusive approach that supports long-term growth and encourages collaboration across the town.”
Coleraine Connect said it would continue to work alongside businesses, local organisations and Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council as it moves into the next phase of development.
